2. General principles
We process personal data only where necessary to operate this website, respond to enquiries, take pre-contractual or contractual steps, or comply with legal duties. Depending on the processing activity, the legal basis is in particular Article 6(1)(a), (b), (c) or (f) GDPR and, for applications, Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act.
Data is deleted or its processing is restricted once the purpose no longer applies, unless statutory retention or evidence requirements require continued storage.
3. Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When the website is accessed, technically necessary connection data may be processed, including the IP address, date and time, requested file, referrer, browser type and operating system. Processing is necessary to provide a secure and stable website and is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Log data is retained only for as long as necessary for operation, troubleshooting and defence against attacks. Security incidents may require longer retention for investigation or legal claims. IONOS is used as a processor under Article 28 GDPR. We regularly check whether the existing hosting contract requires a separate data processing agreement.
4. Enquiries and forms
If you contact us by form, email or telephone, we process the information required to respond. This usually includes your name, contact details, message and any information you provide voluntarily. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual matters and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is responding properly to enquiries.
Forms are provided using WPForms or Contact Form 7. Submissions may be stored on the web server and in our email system. We delete enquiries after final completion unless contractual, evidentiary or statutory retention requirements require further storage. Mailboxes and stored form entries are reviewed regularly.
5. Applications and file uploads
For job applications we process the information required for the recruitment procedure, including contact details, CV, qualifications and uploaded documents. The legal basis is Section 26 BDSG in conjunction with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Please submit only necessary documents and no identity documents, health information or other sensitive data unless we have expressly requested it.
Application documents are generally deleted no later than six months after the recruitment process has ended, unless longer retention is necessary to defend legal claims. Inclusion in a talent pool takes place only on the basis of separate, voluntary consent, which may be withdrawn at any time with future effect.
6. Cookies and consent management
We use technically necessary storage to operate the website and remember your privacy choice. Storage or access on your device that is not strictly necessary takes place only with your consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
We use the WordPress plugin “GDPR Cookie Compliance” by Moove Agency to manage your selection. Your choice is stored in your browser. Optional categories are disabled on the first visit. You can change or withdraw your selection at any time through “Cookie settings”. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
7. External content and links
The image film is provided directly by estateconnect.de in WebM and MP4 formats. Playing it does not establish a connection to YouTube. Google Maps and the Sprengnetter valuation tool initially appear as local placeholders and are embedded only after you consent through the “External media” category. In particular, your IP address, time, browser information and the referring page may then be transmitted to Google or Sprengnetter. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where information is stored on or accessed from your device, Section 25(1) TDDDG. These external frames are removed again when consent is withdrawn.
The Google review module is technically deferred until the review section approaches the viewport. It then retrieves resources from Trustindex and, where applicable, profile images and platform graphics from Google; in particular, your IP address and technical usage data may be transmitted to these providers. We rely on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is displaying current customer reviews and building trust. ImmobilienScout24 is not embedded. Facebook is also not embedded automatically; a connection is established only when you open a clearly labelled external link.
Providers outside the European Union may process data in third countries. Where applicable, an adequacy decision such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for appropriately certified organisations, or Standard Contractual Clauses, may provide a transfer mechanism. Please consult the provider’s privacy information.
Legacy Universal Analytics, Meta Pixel and Google reCAPTCHA are not used on this website. Web fonts are provided locally or through system fonts.
8. Spam and abuse prevention
We protect forms using local technical checks and hidden form fields (honeypots). Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is preventing automated enquiries and securing the website. No automatic connection to Google reCAPTCHA is used.
9. Recipients and processors
Within Estate Connect GmbH, access is limited to staff who require it for the relevant task. External recipients receive personal data only where necessary for hosting, IT operations, communication, contract performance or legal duties. Service providers are engaged under Article 28 GDPR where required.
10. Security
The website uses TLS encryption. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures under Article 32 GDPR and regularly review the WordPress, theme and plugin software in use. Nevertheless, absolute security cannot be guaranteed for data transmitted over the internet.
11. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and objection (Article 21). You may withdraw consent at any time with future effect.
To exercise your rights, email info@estateconnect.de. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. The competent authority is in particular the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia, Kavalleriestraße 2-4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany, www.ldi.nrw.de.
12. Updates to this policy
We update this privacy policy when the services used, legal requirements or actual processing activities change.
